Nova Financial — Rebrand & Platform
Identity, design system and a 240-page marketing platform for a neobank serving eleven markets.
696PP is a compact, senior team of designers, art directors, 3D artists and creative engineers. We partner with ambitious founders and global brands to shape identities, websites, products and motion systems that feel inevitable — and perform relentlessly.
We were never interested in becoming an agency with a hundred desks. 696PP stays deliberately small — so that every project is touched by the people whose names are on it.
That is the entire business model. Nothing more complicated than that.
Founded in 2016, 696PP began as a two-person studio working out of a shared kitchen table, building interfaces for early-stage startups that could not afford to look early-stage. A decade later the table is a studio, the two people are nine, and the obsession has not softened one bit.
We work at the intersection of brand, interface and motion. That intersection is where the interesting problems live: a logotype that has to survive at 16 pixels; a landing page that has to load in under a second and still feel like a film; a product flow that has to be obvious to a first-time user and satisfying to the ten-thousandth.
Our process is unglamorous on purpose. We interview, we audit, we argue, we sketch badly, we throw things away, and then we build the version that survives. We believe the best design decision is usually the one that removes something rather than adds it, and we are stubborn about craft in places nobody will ever consciously notice — because that is exactly where trust is built.
We are format-agnostic. One week we are art-directing a global rebrand, the next we are writing shaders for a product launch in WebGL, the next we are designing a 96-page design system for a bank. What connects the work is not the medium — it is the standard.
If you are building something you genuinely care about, and you want a team that will care about it almost as much as you do, we should talk.
We take on a limited number of engagements per year so every detail gets the attention it deserves.
Beautiful work that solves the wrong problem is expensive decoration. We start with the question.
A 4-second load time is a design failure. Speed, accessibility and clarity are part of the aesthetic.
You talk to the people doing the work. No account layer, no telephone game, no surprises.
Clean systems, documented components and honest files — so your team can run without us.
Six disciplines, one team. We move between them without friction, which means your identity, your website and your launch film are all speaking the same language from day one.
Positioning, naming, verbal identity, logotype systems, color, typography and a full guideline set that your team can actually use without calling us every week.
Marketing sites, editorial platforms and campaign pages. Designed in the browser, prototyped with real content, and handed over as clean, component-driven front-end code.
Launch films, product visualisations, looping backgrounds and scroll-driven 3D. Rendered in-house, compressed ruthlessly, delivered ready for every channel you own.
From zero-to-one product exploration to the unglamorous work of untangling a mature interface. Research, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI and design systems that scale.
Photography direction, illustration, set design and the visual grammar that holds a campaign together across print, social, out-of-home and the digital surfaces in between.
The experiments that become the signature. Generative visuals, interactive installations, real-time data storytelling and the strange little ideas that make a brand feel alive.
Every project below started as a conversation and ended as a system. Names are abbreviated out of respect for the confidentiality agreements we sign — ask us and we will happily walk you through the details.
Identity, design system and a 240-page marketing platform for a neobank serving eleven markets.
A scroll-driven WebGL story about soil regeneration, built to run smoothly on a five-year-old phone.
From a tangle of legacy dashboards to one coherent interface used by 60,000 operators daily.
A publishing system for an independent film house, with typography doing most of the heavy lifting.
Identity, sound design and a 40-second launch film for a fleet of autonomous delivery vehicles.
A deliberately quiet store for a furniture maker who believes the products should speak first.
You will always know what phase we are in, what we are deciding, and what we need from you. Most engagements run between six and sixteen weeks depending on scope.
Stakeholder interviews, competitive audit, technical review and a clear written brief. We do not design a single pixel until we can explain your business back to you better than most of your colleagues can.
Two or three genuinely different creative territories, each with rationale, references and a realistic view of what it takes to build. You pick one; we commit fully to it.
Weekly cycles of design, prototype and feedback in a shared space. Nothing is presented as a surprise, because you have watched every decision being made in real time.
Documented components, source files, recorded walkthroughs and a scheduled support window. We are not precious about the work — it belongs to you the day we finish.
Projects delivered for startups, scale-ups, cultural institutions and Fortune 500 teams since 2016.
Median largest-contentful-paint across the marketing sites we shipped in the last twelve months.
Of our engagements come from a referral or a returning client. We have never run a paid ad.
Countries where work we designed is currently live, from Reykjavík to Wellington.
Case studies, technical write-ups and the occasional opinion. Written by the people who did the work, published when there is actually something to say.
No news.
Tell us what you are building, who it is for and when it needs to exist. We reply to every serious enquiry within two working days, usually with a few uncomfortable questions attached.
